Plan M: understanding costs

One of the key things that our consultants are looking at as part of their Plan M work is the economic side of the library bibliographic metadata marketplace. We need to get an understanding of the current costs are and where that money is flowing in order to produce the robust economic modelling that will inform realistic scenarios for change.

Some institutions have already very kindly given us information about their bibliographic metadata costs, but we’re looking for as wide a range of respondents as possible, from a variety of institutions, to give us the clearest possible picture.

If you’re willing to answer some questions from our consultants about your current bibliographic metadata spend, please contact Lorraine Estelle or Tracey Clarke. We will respect commercial confidentiality and this information will not be shared outwith the Plan M consultants and relevant Jisc staff.
