Further Towards a National Metadata Agreement (with OCLC)

Since we last posted about Plan M we’ve been in detailed discussion with OCLC about the terms of a transitional national metadata agreement. The contract is being negotiated by the Jisc and OCLC legal teams, and the Library Hub staff are working on the technical aspects of providing eligible libraries with full OCLC provenance records through Jisc Library Hub Cataloguing. Once the contract has been finalised and the required technical changes have been made we will make an announcement here, and will be contacting eligible libraries about next steps.

We’re very pleased that we have a new staff member, Rosie Hare, who has joined us to work primarily on Plan M. Rosie will be taking on much of the communication and coordination work, and we’re delighted to have her on the team.
